The primary rewards for this Kickstarter are for discounted park passes, which can be used during operating hours and will not expire, but we’ve also included an option for out-of-towners as well as small and large business sponsors who want to support the Kickstarter.
Leasing or building a space
– The most significant risk for the project is leasing or building a space. The park requires a large open space with high ceilings which limits the options. Meeting or exceeding the Kickstarter funding goals will help with the lease or building negotiations by substantiating our sales estimates.
City Approval
– Before the park can open, Gnarly Park will need a business license from the City. Our priority is to get a park open ASAP.
Build Delays
– Once Gnarly Park has taken possession of a space, the build will start. As with any construction project, there is a risk of delays. To mitigate this risk, we will have full designs before the build starts. Once the Kickstarter has ended and our funding goal is reached, we will provide regular updates both through Kickstarter, social media, and our website’s Blog. We want you to see the project progressing in real time. In the event that Gnarly Park runs into a challenge, you’ll know what is going on and what we are doing about it as it happens. If for some unforeseeable reason the park cannot open, all Kickstarter pledges would be refunded.
